DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA

As the caravan is on the Butlins resort in Skegness you'll have access to all the Butlins facilities. These include for the little ones, a tots funfair and soft play area. There are plenty of activities both indoors and outdoors.

It's also only about 10 minutes walk from Fantasy Island and about a 15 minutes drive from Skegness town centre where you'll find the Bottons Pleasure Beach theme park and plenty of amusement arcades and shops.

If you go further afield you have the towns of Boston and Lincoln about 30 minutes drive away.

Pleasure Beech - Skegness

Gibraltar Point National Reserve

Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve covers three miles of coast from Skegness to The Wash. Habitats include sandy and muddy seashore, sand dunes, saltmarsh and freshwater marsh with ponds and lagoons. The reserve is recognised internationally for its important habitats and species. The Trust manages this unspoilt stretch of coastline for all to enjoy. Conservation of the natural habitats often includes traditional methods such as livestock grazing.

Skegness Stadium

Skegness Stadium is a tarmac short circuit oval racing track on the outskirts of Skegness, 2 miles inland from Ingoldmells. Racing is held some weekends from March to early November. Thursdays from early June until early November. Tuesdays from mid July to end August, Bank Holiday Sundays & Mondays.

Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre

he Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre is a family run museum and was set up over 20 years ago. It is now widely seen as a living memorial to the 55,500 men of Bomber Command who lost their lives during WW2. It holds one of the rarest aircraft, an Avro Lancaster Bomber, in its collection along with many wartime vehicles including a Ford WOT1 Crew Bus, the only one of its kind known in existance.
